Join VPQ at Big Sky ski resort in southwest Montana at the best time of the year for great snow conditions and find out what “The Biggest Skiing in America” is all about.

This amazing ski resort gets an average of 400 inches of snow falling on 5,850 skiable acres and 4, 350 vertical feet. Lift lines are small to non-existent! With this amount of acreage, there is terrain for every level of skiing or boarding ability. Ski seamlessly between 4 mountains, 36 lifts and more than 300 runs. Come experience the newly installed Ramcharger 8, which has seating for eight on heated seats in a weather-proof bubble.

Or ride Lone Peak Tram to 11,166 ft with breathtaking views of 3 states along with breathtaking skiing or riding. Remember to bring your Ikon Pass or Mountain Collective Pass if you have it since both work at this resort!

We will have our lodging and lectures (16 hours of CE over 4 days) at Huntley Lodge, located slopeside at the base Mountain Village. Here guests can converge to dine, shop, rent gear, get lift tickets and meet ski instructors. A free local shuttle is also available to take guests to Big Sky town center, with many wonderful dining options, shopping, movie house, supermarket and great coffee. Besides skiing or boarding, other winter activities, including zip lining, snow shoeing, dog sledding, bungee trampoline and sleigh rides are offered in the area. We will have one day midweek with no lectures so if anyone wants to make the trip to Yellowstone National Park for snowmobile touring or wildlife watching from a snowcoach , there will be plenty of time to do so. Yellowstone is not far from Big Sky.

Huntley Lodge has wonderful large comfortable rooms, outdoor heated swimming pools and hot tubs, gym and a fantastic breakfast buffet (including made to order omelets) to get you ready for your active day.
